Taking It Breezy is a lifestyle blog intended to create a community of women seeking empowering information for personal development, self-care tips, self-love, relationship advice, healthy living, and travel inspiration!

Despite the social media emphasis on the perfect life or perfect appearance, there is a rising force encouraging women to begin seeking what truly makes them happy, powerful, and centered, and find ways to live stress-free lives filled with joy and love.

This blog is a place of refuge and growth for women seeking that improvement in their lives, whether it be in their work/home/personal life or relationships.

You’ll also find inspiration for travel destinations and best travel tips because traveling is good for the soul!

I’ll share tips for improving your mental and emotional health, reducing stress, finding joy in relationships, and great tips for solo traveling or with your partner!

Feel free to take a look around and explore some of the most popular posts here. I try to respond to comments and love to hear about your inspirations too!

About Me

I’m Brie. I’m a thirty-something, summertime and flip flops loving, mountain hiking, dog loving, rock and roll kind of gal. And I love sweetsso much. I even drink hot chocolate in the summer because, why not?

I’m the favorite aunt (of course) to 16 nieces and nephews, some of whom I’ve converted to have a total love for outdoor concerts in the summer.

I’m also a freelance editor and LOVE it. (Feel free to ask me about editing your book!) I love words and helping people create a perfect manuscript.

The travel bug bit me “late in life,” so I’m making up for lost time, and I pin far more travel destinations and “things to do” to my personal Pinterest board than I may ever actually reach. Challenge accepted, maybe?

I spent over a decade in various jobs in the corporate world, slowly feeling my mind and soul turn to mush as the cubicle walls closed in and the meetings dragged on. So I started an adventure of finding ways to escape the 9-5 and work from home or, better yet, a beach!

After a few ventures into the get-out-of-the-cubicle world that included being a Tour Director and an Uber/Lyft driver, starting this blog became the most meaningful avenue to achieve that goal. I love writing and helping people find ways to create their best self and find inspiration for a meaningful life.

Recently, I became a cancer survivor. And, wow, talk about the lessons learned from that difficult experience. (Girl power!) I don’t let it define me, but it’s a part of who I am now, and I’m proud of all of me.

Life has rarely been easy breezy for me, but I’ve learned from my mistakes and trials. I decided to choose gratitude daily and practice mindfulness as I strive to become the best version of myself and find true joy each day.
